Pyjama Fairies is a children’s charity providing hand made, custom pyjamas and other items for children and young people in hospital. The charity has volunteers all over the country, and when they contact us, they were looking for a way to streamline and automate their orders process and make it easier and more efficient. They wanted to move away from offline records and switch to a secure online system that would enable them to grow.
They were also looking for an update to their brand identity, and a new, fresh, uplifting design to their site that reflected the wonderful work they do.
We started with a redesign of their logo, incorporating the feel of the previous design, but giving it a more balanced layout and a contemporary feel.
We designed the front end of the site to have a cheerful, attractive look, with a new online ordering form that makes it easy for parents and carers to order garments.
The back-end of the site includes a sophisticated ordering system that routes order based on surgery date and type of garment and allows pre-approved volunteers (the ‘Fairies’!) to select what orders they will be making and allows easy commination and management of the orders across the country.
The site includes a range of user roles so that content is only available to the right people and orders can only be fulfilled by those with the right experience.
This has resulted in a huge rise in the number of orders they are able to take, and process.
