Susans Cafe – print design project

Recently I worked on a project to create a brand for a local Canterbury cafe, Susan’s Cafe. The cafe had been decorated beautifully in a classy, yet welcoming vintage style and they were hoping to carry this theme outside and attract new customers in. They also needed internal menus and a website.

My first task was to create a logo design that incorporated the soft colours of the cafe décor and evoked the style and ethos of the relaxed traditional tearooms. They already had the text in place but were looking for a way to bring it together.

As part of the outside design I created window stickers that were attractive and eye catching to passers by, a double sided A1 size a-frame for adverts, a hanging sign and menus for the windows.

Inside I designed the table menus and large wall menu.

Finally I designed and built a responsive website to promote the cafe online.  You can view it here: www.susansofcanterbury.co.uk.

Here’s what John and Susan’s of Susan’s cafe thought about the work:

“Our special thanks to you for the wonderful job you did for us at Susan’s Café. Your attention to detail and determination to release a quality product was second to none. We are most grateful for your pro-active and positive approach in designing our logo, menus, signage, and more. We will certainly send any future business we have your way, and have no hesitation in recommending you.”
